The first book was pretty good and seemed to be moving in a good direction plot wise but since then the plot has literally not moved and just lacks substance. Constantly asking myself what the point of any of this is and when we’re going to get back to the original plot from book 1 but no such luck so far and I’m very close to DNFing. Also, it’s really aggravating that no one’s powers get explained at all.
