Woah, a lion to an ocean to a city?! I think it depends what kind of impression you want to give. What genre is it? Which cover fits that the best? I mean, I try not to judge stories based on the book cover, but I can usually pick out the genre from the cover.

Later, it progresses to the ocean.
Perhaps you could have a city next to the sea? Because I can't choose between the city and the ocean now. XD If it's a sort of action packed story you would probably want a city on the cover though... Or, if you want the ocean, perhaps you could make it a rough looking ocean, rather than calm?

Haha, I did try that actually. It seemed to be too noisy. But it could have just been the ocean graphic that I used.
I also thought about, with the paperback at least, setting the ocean as the back cover. Then both elements would be there. Because you have this large action packed component to the book, but also thoughtfulness and exploration.
Actually, here's one with more turbulent ocean waves.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6FU...

Now I can't decided. Either the original ocean one, or the second one of the ocean and city (the one with your name right below the title.)
