The diamond lens is pretty dark especially coming right after the lighthearted Martian Odessy.

Quite a powerful story by H.G. Wells the star. Makes you think about human existence and nature. How only a handful of people notice what is going on plus a dog and a couple Martians. The introduction also puts into perspective science fiction as well. Are we not just repeating what others have already said and not paid attention to history. It’s all connected.
