This is the longest 214 page book I have ever read. Repetitive. Boring. Derivative. Why Why WHY did my book club have to pick this?

I can't tell if it's an issue with the translation in some parts or if I'm just being overly critical, but god, this reads like the subtitles to a D list anime and I cannot deal.
