AND it was the only way she would ever be able to mourn Altan as he was because she finally saw understood his true form instead of the hero or the immortal and why she didn’t owe him her guilt or her life as a trade for his. She was able to realize she still loved him as she always had, but he never did and he never would.

She confronted her love AND acknowledged it was only ever a love of her idea of him.

I love her confrontation with Altan (or at least the seal) because she finally finally navigated and articulated her feelings on him and his death.
