Within the first chapter, the commenter from “Library of Congress Crime Classics” makes some pretty basic mistakes about Catholicism. I don’t expect the commenter to necessarily be Catholic, but I find it puzzling that appropriate research was not done prior to publication so that the breviary and the Confietor could be correctly defined in the notes. The errors are not plot-changing, but they are distracting.
