Why so much use of the word ‘niggle’? 🫠

The writing feels sophomorish… and yet I’m hooked on the story. Le sigh.

In my to read list on Libby, listed under ‘best reviewed.’ No other notes on why this book. About 10% in now, and, while the setting isn’t one I’ve spent significant time with- post Bolshevik revolution in Russia- I feel as though the story itself will end relatively predictably. We shall see.
