Tom King’s excessive usage of bleeped out cursing in this actually makes certain scenes practically impossible to understand. I don’t know what is being said. Rather than making it seem grittier and darker like he intended, it instead makes the book even more juvenile. It’s like reading a story by a kid who learned swears but doesn’t want to get in trouble
