I like the story, but the writing is kind of awkward. The forward says it was originally written in Dutch, so my guess is maybe the translation just doesn’t flow very well? Also the fact that it’s a novella, the pace is very fast and I wish we had more time to develop the characters and the story. Since it’s so short and a lot is happening, it feels rushed
