There was a small squabble, and Japan sent torpedos at American pilots. The Americans retaliated but one of their pilots got lost. It found its way later and landed a hit on the Japanese. Japan made an estimate that was 100% wrong about how America was going to go about the battle. The Wildcats (American wing) went out and spotted the Japanese. Carey alerted the people at Midway.

The loss of the Zero plane was said to be one of the most significant losses in the battle and contributed heavily to the overall success of the battle. After America found it, they were able to find out everything that was wrong with it and they quickly made a plane that outclassed it in every way.

There was lots of fog, it made it quite difficult to navigate, and neither side wanted to send out messages, worried they would alert the other side of their presence. One of the Japanese pilots died, and the Americans found his plane. It was the Zero Model. America did not have one of these in such good condition, so they kept it to study and find weaknesses in.

The weather was unfavorable, foggy and rainy, which made it difficult for them to travel. It also caused communication difficulties from one ship to another. Both Japan and America had troubles with their radios
