OK. It's getting good now. I'm getting impatient for Mona to fess up to Abram. Gah! And Reid does such a great job with her hero-painting. With such econonmy of words, she manages to depict complex male main characters. They sneak up on you because you really haven't been directly told much about them. It's the expressions, manerisms, and the words they speak that flesh them out so effectively.

This story feels longer than it should. I'm in the second book now, and it's picking up now that we're hearing more from Abram. I got tired of being in Mona's head so much of the time and dealing with the frustration of her not fessing up. I think the story would have benefited with a shorter part 1.

Just finished Datingish where we see Abram. Two other books now with an insight into his character. I just hope he can carry this book into something more readable. Still not pulled to it at all.

I've barely started and already I'm bored. Just started skimming the dialogue because neither Mona or Gabby are interesting to me. If things don't get better, I might not finish. There's only so much antagonism, snit fits, and animosity one can read! Give it a BREAK!
