The writing style is so bad I almost want to drop it. Do we really need to hear a backstory about EVERYTHING? Any event, every character we meet. These first few chapters feels like non stop exposition dumping, non-stop monologiueng by the two pov characters. Does the author know that she doesn't have to reveal everything right away? She can say a little and tell the whole bsckstory later, keep us wondering for a bit
