I’m reading this book for a class but so far it is so interesting. I love how Ewing isn’t just stating numbers and statistics but giving you a narrative and connecting the history of the Chicago school system and the area to current events surrounding their closings. I’m disappointed but honestly not surprised at what has happened to the Bronzeville community over generations from segregation to housing issues
