Ummm…if I can’t remember anything, how is trying to remember something DIFFERENT like a memory palace going to help me? I LITERALLY have an Etch-a-Sketch for a brain!

Elentarri I agree with your sentiment. And I think it may have something to do with mental visualisations. If you have aphantasia, you can't really do that, hence memory problems that require picturing stuff in your mind? Just a vague, random thought. 🤷🏻‍♂️

farmwifetwo I read an article on aphantasia and bookmarked it on my phone a while ago. It's exactly my issue. I recognize, don't memorize and I don't see I pictures including when I read.

Jen Thanks Elentarri and farmwife. I’ve recently heard about aphantsia too, but I can see pictures when I read. Maybe I have an as yet undiscovered/undiagnosed memory issue? I am not as bad as the Momento dude, but it takes a LOT of work to remember something for me. Or maybe I’m just lazy and don’t realize how much work others put into remembering things?
