It feels refreshing to read a coming-of-age novel that is actually about teenagers. My co-workers and I were having a conversation yesterday about how most "coming-of-age" novels nowadays are about people in their early twenties vs when we were younger most of these novels were about teenagers, I'm not sure why that is or why YA has decided to make this shift. While a rather new book this also feels nostalgic.
