its the way mr collins is the most ridiculous character ever…

after reading persuasion i can understand why austen thought this work a little silly, because it’s almost cartoonish and too caricatural, lacking a little depth. i still love it though, but i’d probably put it third (yes, even behind emma for now.. knightley just GETS me)
