I kind of felt this way initially. Especially after reading and loving Sa Ye and Guomen. I ended up loving it but I think I maxed out on HS danmei for a while haha

Totally get that. I’ve read a lot of danmeis that started out slow but ended up becoming some of my favorites too. I'm doing my best to stick with it, hoping the pace picks up soon! 😊

it never really got better for me sadly. had to dnf around the halfmark.
