Another great read yet another time. It’s been decades since I first read this book. Abbey’s respect and passion for the desert shines through with his romantic and elegant descriptions of Utah’s red desert. This book helps me understand a little more about my father who chose to relocate his life and start his family in this beautiful region, away from the bustling, complex, hectic Chicago of his youth.
