Arr! Pirates! Predictable but fun!

Perhaps "Brief Encounter" should have been called "Willoughby". It certainly feels like it was inspired by it.

"And" was a great story but it was nearly ruined by the presentation. The entire story was in italics and the spacing was weird... For instance Tony was spelled "To ny" (with a space) and other words were similarly split.

I'm not a fan of the two Gary Phillips stories. They have promise, but they feel too "abrupt"... The style doesn't mesh with my expectations.

most of the stories are good. the last one could have been better though. (the blues musician story)

The stories in the second book are much longer.

Peter David's story "What monsters do" is one of my favorites so far. I enjoy seeing different perspectives.
