surely this would be a good time to announce the villain’s evil scheme to the crowd???

the romance parts of this book are definitely way stronger than the action sequences

lowkey the evil professor is my fave character so far

i like all the different magic murder birds, but they feel so random. i wish the author would mention them and give a brief description before they actually show up. maybe between each chapter she could have put a field notes section with little descriptions of the birds, their appearances and their behaviours.

okayyy i’m vibing with this book now actually. its not a work of literary genius but its pretty fun and silly. i’m along for the ride, i’m here for the adventure

i hate when old timey books establish bridgerton-esque etiquette only to completely ignore it. the only time this book mentions a social rule is when someone flaunts it. why even pretend anyone cares

the fact that there could have been a fun heist scene but instead the author just wrote “she slipped past the museum staff” and called it a day
