The Vegetarian is a beautifully written novel. The main character Yeong-hye becomes a vegetarian, against the wishes of her family, and that takes us on an allegorical journey. One that teaches us a lesson of women's rights or lack of in current day Korea. Very interesting read. FIVE STARS.
