I just bought the book some 2 weeks ago and I'm really willing to read it, only after I finish The Count of Monte Cristo... is it as beautiful as they say it is? <3

Hmmm... tough question. i didn't know a whole lot about it before i started reading it, nor about the author's writing style and now, a couple hundred pages later, i can honestly say i like it and dislike it in equal measure for a lot of reasons. there were things i liked and things i didn't, though i did understand the reasoning behind them. i won't tell you how it ends, but let's say it's not "happily ever after" and the optimist in me is kicking and screaming about it...i suppose it's a purely subjective point of view, you may have a different reaction but as i said before, i'm an optimist and unfortunately, (still) wish/dream of happy endings.
ha-ha-ha - that just sounds like something I would certainly enjoy. To be honest, I am not really a fan of happily-ever-after endings. I believe that sad endings are truly the best - but this is also merely subjective and well I have to read the book and then say if I liked it or not - I know about the author's style, though, and I like it and the title seems so interesting to me that I figured I must have it, I must read it. Also - now you've given me a great hint about it and I can't wait to read it. - i don't know if you've read Jane Eyre - might have, it's a wonderful book. Anyhow, the ending of Jane Eyre seemed too happy for me *laughs* - well, even so, I still loved the book and I consider it one of my favorites, but I remember thinking -at some point - how awful the ending was because it was so happy. I expected it to be terribly sad and depressing, I suppose.
