Reading for book club, thought I’d love it but CHEWING through the painful exposition and mundane inner monologue of internalised homophobia and mid teen triviality. Lines plagiarised from films - ‘Oh my God Karen, you can’t just ask people where they’re from’ - could at least change the names. Appreciate it’s YA but even at 15 I’d have struggled. Might appeal to much younger readers.
