Kundera’s depiction of the family’s jealousy, the misplaced hate of a timid man, the constant infantilization perpetrated by his mother, and the rationalization of mistakes is simply golden!

I feel that I am finally starting to get what Life is Elsewhere is: I won’t spoil the surprise yet, though.

It makes sense.

I need to wrap my head around Xavier; a whiteboard may or may not be used as the story is clearly told without a consistent timeline. I do get the general gist though, but I just need to ascertain any connection between the blond girl and the woman in the room with the wardrobe to be sure.
