3/26/25…firstborn: not gonna lie I thought raze was gonna ambush blue boy and kill him in the river and take his pack. But seeing how blue boy handled raze’s father so quickly I highly doubt raze could even kill blue boy. Even if he did ambush or surprise attack him. Blue boy is too strong, I wonder if in real life he would be a dire wolf. I wonder how big blue boy is in real life. I loved these chapters (7,8,9)

4/4/25…firstborn: Yk one of the things I love. The dynamic of Maggie with blue boy. I love how blueboy trust her with being this sort of “watch dog” kind of thing. Like a lookout, or a spy, a ninja that can be in and out of a situation and come back with information. A sort of recon. He appreciates her and always makes sure to come to her in the worst moments to have her Birds Eye view of the situation.

4/3/25…firstborn: okay so I decided to read more for the day, and honestly, this was a sad chapter. Blue boy had killed himself out of desperation and then the humans went hunting for sully. Shot and killed him too. Honestly sad as fuck. Silly even got Lamar to leave to keep him save from the humans

4/3/25….firstborn: so first of all, I had planned to read for about 20 min and ended up reading for 1 hour. This book hooks me at times when I’m reading it. I love the character dynamics and honestly I love Maggie as a main character. I also truly love the perspective of animals talking and how they would view us humans and our actions

3/31/25….firstborn: I’m so fucking shook. Lamar’s sister Libby died. Causing Ben to take mentorship from frick. The thing I’m so surprised is that in the book they spend like 3 sentences discussing the death of Libby. They had been hunting and she had fallen into a frozen river and drowned.

3/28/25….firstborn: I’m a little sad at the idea of frick becoming useless for the back. Since his hind legs don’t work for hunting anymore and his coat isn’t protecting him from the cold either. I have a feeling that raze at some point will get with lips and eventually kill frick or try to take over the pack. I love Lamar, he’s so curious about the world and very adventurous.

3/26/25…firstborn: this was actually a crazy 2 chapters, we ended at the part where there’s a random Forrest fire and all the pups die. 100% wasn’t expecting that. But I did expect for the runt to be important for the story. I wonder how Forrest first at Yellowstone start and if they’re common. Frick not having hair on his hind legs reminds me a little of patitas.

3/24/25…firstborn: this was an exciting chapter (chapter 4). Blue boy had gotten shot and finally got rid of his collar due to the bullet hitting his neck. He howled and called for wolves to kill him since he was wounded. I wonder how accurate that is to real life. If wolves really put themselves out of their own misery. Luckily Alberta saved blue boy.

3/21/25….firstborn: this was an interesting chapter. I learned the one who saved Maggie was blue boy, when he grabbed the fox and ran with it to eat it. He’s trying to get back to Canada but has a tracking collar on his neck from the humans who took him captive. It’s getting interesting. I’m loving this. I love the fact Maggie remembered what Jackson said about being true to your own nature. And not changing

3/21/25… firstborn: so Jackson got shot by a kid with a rifle. Maggie had been exploring looking for trilby the bluebird. Honestly was NOT expecting that. I thought Jackson stayed alive for a long while later. I wonder how Maggie is gonna learn more knowledge without Jackson, I wonder how she makes new friends. It’s getting interesting.
