Just finished Chosen by Christine Pope, I didn't read what this book was about, I wanted to be surprised and man was I surprised. The heat took almost everyone from earth, I cried so hard in those first chapters when it all went down. How her father had tried to stay longer but couldn't...man that was hard. Then to have a disembodied voice help you, then to find out in the last chapter that it was the Djinns did it.
