I’m reading this as an ARC through BookSirens. My thoughts halfway through the book:
I like the magic system. It’s a soft magic system, with just enough vagueness to keep it mysterious. The main character Shylah is interesting enough, but I’m honestly more interested in her younger sister, Trulian, as of right now in the story. Also, the mmc skeeves me out a bit, he’s like 4 yrs older than Shy and she’s 17
