So, he is infatuated with the idea of this beautiful, graceful noble girl he thought would be completely angelic in her empathy for him. But because she was a flawed, sheltered and his naive girl who shared her father’s perspective on people dying for their country being respectable, he hated her enough to marry and shatter her whole existence?
