Got another free KU trial, so started continuing. Feels like the further I get in the more errors there are unfortunately..

The time skips in this are really frustrating. You have no idea that there's been a 1 year, 2 year, 10 year jump in either direction until an offhand comment is made like 15 pages into the chapter.

I would've loved this back in my tween/teen years. But also it's hard to get a grasp on proportions in this. Are the animals normal-animal size, just bipedal? Are all the "wild" animals larger than they are? How would a raven otherwise be big enough to beat the hell out of a full-grown male badger? Why is the wildcat in the north both implied to be this massive feline, but also the size of a hare?
