The pacing is still slow. I suspect that there are three separate villains, and I’m just not in the mood for that kind of anxiety right now. Putting this on hold.

A little bored with the pace but it looks like it’s going to pick up soon. I suspect the side plot with the hero’s daughter, her governess, and the daughter’s secret admirer/lover is going to be similar to Georgiana and Mr. Wickham’s “love” from Pride & Prejudice.
