Finally after years (literally) on & off I managed to finish this book. Did I enjoy it ...possibly if it had been a straight forward story , however it kept veering of into lots of technical , historical stuff which if left out would have made it much shorter & not such a slog!. No idea why there were two epilogues either as the second one seems to have nothing to do with the story.
