Emma yes, it could be partly the translation, but also repetitions, and too much pushing on proving by all means that Gregory was a hagiorite through his living and writing, as if this was not obvious enough anyway. that's probably why I have been dragging on this book for about 6 months now! very disappointing, one of my least favorite books on Palamas, and really Hierotheos has written better books than that. still 90 pages to go. can't wait to be done to go to the brand new re-edition of Isaac the Syrian's Ascetical Homilies
