3.5 stars - really enjoyed this, couldn’t put it down, and loved the circus element, the DNA/ancestry storyline and complexities of identity. It had beautiful prose but on the flip side it was a bit of a sufferfest at times, and wholly unbelievable at points, and sort of overdid the adoption storyline to a point of disservice IMO. There was more thought in the column of redeeming quality. Would recommend!
