The call to follow at once produces a new situation... to make it clear from the start that His word is not an abstract doctrine, but the Recreation of the whole life of man. The only right and proper way is quite literally to go with Jesus. The call to follow implies that there is only one way of believing in Jesus Christ, and that is by leaving all and going with the incarnate Son of God.

the cost of grace is discipleship and discipleship can only happen because of grace !!!!!
and it’s a costly calling because it’s a costly grace ! it cost the life of the Son of God, so the calling to discipleship to the So , which allows for grace to be received, is naturally going to be costly! it should cost you your whole worldly life!
