The writing has captivated me. I don't think its revolutionary, necessarily, but I think it just does the basics very well. To the point where this is definitely going to become a favorite novel of mine. I'm not very far in, so the mystery may disappoint me. But I think I will refer to this book when it comes to my own writing, as I think it does a lot of things well so far.
