WHAT?! A Superman comic without the Boy Scout himself!?
So, issue #31 isn’t part of the Exile plot.
I enjoyed seeing Luthor’s way of dealing with the troublesome Mr Mxyzptlk!
Though, one of Luthor’s techs wonders if he’s taught the 5th dimensional being how to lie…
STAR Lab’s Board figures out what Lex may want and decides to sell their Colorado lab… which IS exactly what Lex wants!

Warworld jumps thru hyperspace right before SM can reach it!
We learn Cleric is VERY old and he wants Supes to embrace his legacy.
Guilt is what bonds Cleric and Supes. And shame.
Though Cleric can understand Superman’s actions, he questions what his world lacks with its protector gone.
With the Eradicator handed over, Cleric dies.
Inspired, SM is ready to be the champion of life!

Rebellion on Warworld!
The Overseers think it’s time for a change of leadership. They would’ve liked Supes but settle for Draaga.
Matrix-Clark confuses a detective, upsets Lois and makes Jimmy worried enough he thinks he should stay at Clark’s apartment.
As Mongul and Draaga fight (which D ‘wins’), Supes opens his soul to the Eradicator.
Which earns him his classic suit!

One big brawl between Superman, Mongul and Dragga, the Overlord’s ‘undefeated’ champion.
After a few back and forth blows, Cleric decides to intervene and ‘port SM outta there… right before Mongul’s laser eyes could hit him!
Meanwhile, Matrix wakes on the streets of Metropolis, believing she is Clark Kent!
Jimmy finds them and believes the confused being has amnesia…

Action Comics Annual #2 -
Could’ve been interesting if Supes waning strength was acknowledged in the fights he participated in. But no, he beat his foes with the ease of a full-strength SM.
Cleric is introduced and I’m not sure what to make of them. Hopefully, that will make more sense SM#32.
The best part of all this was I know this inspired that one episode of Justice League.

John and Martha learn that Matrix is gone!

We learn Lex was performing stock fraud as part of his scheme to buy the Colorado lab for ‘a song.’

Eventually, the Union is combined in a single form, named ‘Eon’.
SM pleads to the beings' individual lives, before they became the bodiless brains.
Their fight brings them back to the brain room, and SM shows compassion.
Eon turns on their master, and promises to only accept those who want to join the Union.

Somehow flying in the right direction sees Supes come across the villains GIANT ship.
And his hall of brains…?
