Valerie Book Valkyrie is finished

Sentient LFL find. HALVOR first appeared in a Wisconsin Norwegian language newspaper, Posten, as a fictional serial Nov1892-June1893. According to data from 2021 Wisconsin has 3,520 Norwegian speakers, Vermont has 31 Norwegian speakers:24 aged 18-65 & 7 older than 65 (I gave up efforts to be #8). Apparently this story is well known to many in the NorwegianAmerican community.Wonder which one left the book in our LFL

When Halvor was 12yrs old, Rev. Evensen came to live with Halvor's family in Wisconsin while the reverend's own home was being constructed.
The Rev made a special study of Noorwegian history, and Søren (Halvor's dad) now heard for the first time of Harald the Fairhaired, Haakon the Good, Egil Skalagrimson, St. Olaf, and other heroes of Norway's golden age (13th-early 14th centuries, a time of peace & prosperity.
