Yeap, with the new home page I'm finding I'm skipping scrolling through daily and have been only looking maybe once a week. I'm missing my friend's really updates on books they are reading or read and getting lots of "wants to read" which would be OK but having to scroll through all the book blurbs....

And there is no comments allowed on the description of the update. I'm not sure if it is just summer, or the move, or the new "home page" but I'm just not as active. Hopefully I'll get used to it but I am not happy... again. This time even more so than last as I really don't use the "front page" anymore much. The set up was more useful. Now it is more pushing the books, pushing recommendations, and edging out real information from the people you follow.
I wonder if anyone likes it? Really no improvement just a lot of distraction. I really wish I could pick what to show me, instead of getting the standard default. I've turned off sharing my TBR adds but that is not the default. I put too many book into my TBR that might not even be a real thought for me to read and really I have no idea if they are good or not. I only want to share my currently reading and read or updates.
I also wish that we could turn off the book blurbs. Reviews from friends, I love seeing, even a rating but the blurb... If I'm interested enough, I'll click on the book and check it out along with other friends that might have read it. Makes the page load a lot slower to load all that. More useless information to load about books that the friend hasn't even read or just saw a review and commented from another user. It is like super book advertising and very, very annoying.
Yes, I agree. Instead of all this, why not let us choose? I'm sure many people like this new look, but those who didn't shouldn't have to be forced to stick with it.
