What is this cursed new look on GR?! How is a body supposed to find her way around? Why 'fix' something that wasn't at all broken?!

Katie I feel like all the lights have gone out and I'm stumbling about with a lighted match.

That's a good description of how I feel as well. For someone who's fairly good at reading, I now feel totally lost and dyslexic.

Will Ansbacher Feel like my face is too close to the screen! No sense of continuity!
I had to go back to my Friends page to find this update after I scrolled too far away.
Oh GR, what have you done?? :-(

Kevin Ansbro I know that it's natural to resist change, but this new format seems to be counter-intuitive.
Not a fan! : (

Melanie Exactly !

Lea I think a few details needed to be fixed (and I'm now curious to find out if they have been so), but I will not be impressed until they add a feature that lets you add more than one read date to a book!

Helle I wonder if someone should send GR these kinds of reactions? I'm not against change either - certainly not when it's change for the better - but it seems to me purely an aesthetic change, which results in confusion, rather than a change with a functional purpose that will make the site more flexible.

I agree, Helle, the change seems to be for reasons concerning style, rather than functionality.
Will's comment was befitting: "Feel like my face is too close to the screen!" I know exactly what he means! : )
