I've read some folklore tales of the Udegei, Nivkh, and Nanai. I am very grateful that I can access the ebook through UVA libraries--it's an incredibly meaningful read, and I am learning more about the stories, cultures, traditions, and customs of these indigenous Siberian peoples.

didn't think I'd be reading indigenous Siberian peoples' folklore in college, yet here I am. it's really interesting to read these tales and recognize the underlying motifs, as well as learn more about their social norms and culture through their storytelling. I wish I could hear their stories in their native language and understand them.
