The Mist ends far more hopefully than its movie counterpart. It is tensely written and by the end, becomes a study of humans under an unfamiliar dangerous environment and how it fosters a cult mentality, with Mrs. Carmody being a standout. A fair 8/10, with points off only for the flimsy portrayal of some women like Steff and Amanda(tho Hattie and that gun lady are fun) and for the ending which felt a bit lackluster.
