1/3 through. Didn’t know much about this going in—it’s in the sci-fi section of my bookstore, but should really be in general fiction. I appreciate its cultural aspects and have paused a few time to look up recipes! But the family drama is wearing. Her family fucking blows and her putting up with it is so antithetical to my personality that even reading about it drives me insane. Not sure I can finish it.
