The MC is an arrogant jerk who can get any man he wants. I’m all for the fantasy of openly gay men playing in what’s traditionally in the realm of straight or closeted men. I just can’t imagine hordes of gay men flocking to a hockey player. Some, for sure, but it’s probably not an attraction. The unbelievable isn’t a point in favor of the book. The MC kills it entirely.
