I feel like this book is about people doing whatever they want and acting like that’s a good way to cure their depression.

Can’t tell if I want to finish this. At first I was enjoying the main character’s honesty about her depression, but now it’s getting a bit annoying. Like, ok, I get that you never wanted to wear the fun dress because you didn’t want to draw attention to yourself and this is a metaphor for your mental state. But I’m struggling to care. I think the book is too much in the main character’s head.

What is up with all the Virginia Woolf references ?
