This is an excellent book, so far. But it's very Catholic, and it would make anti-Catholics go blue in the face.

Here's a decent long chapter on the enshrouding of the Body and the entombment. It needs remembering that this surgeon's main focus is the burial shroud itself, the so-called Shroud of Turin, which he is certain is the prime relic of the Passion of Christ.

After reading over ten pages of trial nailings of amputated forearms, I'm expecting an emotional eruption from this author at some point. The pain of even a single nailing must have been excruciating.

Swimming right through. I thought this book would have too much medical language, but it's an easy read.
