I’d previously seen comments about how Wes turned into a red flag in this book and not to bother with it, but I’m glad I wasn’t judging him too harshly at the beginning. Him breaking up with her makes sense now that he’s saying what happened. As someone who lost her dad recently, as complicated a relationship as it was, it really does make it so hard to connect with people when your world is falling apart.
