What a way to finish. Katniss’s children, raised in a much kinder world, but still, as Katniss said: they play on a graveyard. The Games still haunt her, they always will. Somehow she’ll find a way to tell her kids about the Games, somehow she’ll find a way to forgive herself for everything she’s done. Katniss, the girl on fire, finally able to rest.

Okay the idea of this book is beautiful but it’s breaking my heart to imagine Haymitch just giving out 23 years worth of tributes. 46 kids that were lost in some games never to be remembered again. Until now. Until Katniss had the courage to remember them and make sure the others did too. ALSO FINNICK AND ANNIE HAVE A SON AND FINNICK IS DEAD IM GONNA BE SICK 😭😭

Okay here’s my little Haymitch fangirl moment: Haymitch didn’t say yes or no to the Games, he said he was with the mockingjay, implying he’s with Katniss… or rather that he’s with what the mockingjay stood for. Rebellion. Saving everyone from the games.
