Also, the fact that this book so clearly references Charlotte's Web, specifically the fair scene with Templeton the rat who basks in the glory of discarded food and trash at the county fair... you can tell me whatever you want but when they talk about rats in this book, my brain is there with Templeton with his chewed corn cobs and used cotton candy. And I feel I must thank the author personally for that visual.

This book is such a beautiful love letter to sisterhood. I feel the deep ache of not knowing what is ailing my own sisters because life has brought us down different paths, one littered with mutual disappointments in each other. It's heartbreakingly sorrowful. And feeling that from reading this book is what makes is such a work of art 📚❤️

This book is amazing!! I know what it is to think of a certain childhood friend as "campground Greta" the version of themself that was carefree and devoid of what other people think. The version of them that was innocent and laughed at things with a freedom that gets lost in teenagehood.
