The word used to describe 2 military men was 'boffin'. Having never heard that word before, I looked it up. It's a British slang term for scientist or technological researcher. Not army grunts delivering news.

I'm only 4 pages in, and come across this: "Sex was the driving force that got two people together – unfortunately it wasn’t so good at helping those same shifters reach their HEA" Their HEA? Pretty sure only authors and readers use that term...not Troy the wolf.
