"All this calls us to face up to an uncomfortable reality: the Muslim Jesus appears to have emerged out of religious conviction, not out of the pages of history. Perhaps Muslims won't mind if this is the case. I'm sure the average Muslim will trust the Qur'an over historians every day of the week. One problem with this, though.
